Forgotten Shadows for internet.jpeg

My introduction to painting came in 1987 when my wife enrolled me in a beginning watercolor class for a birthday gift. This led me to painting seriously on my own studying the work of Philip Jamison,  Andrew Wyeth and Thomas William Jones.

I am passionate about watercolor.  The limitations it presents gives rise to its strengths if handled correctly.  It's transparency breathes air and light into a painting.  Its unpredictability can bring spirit. Its unforgiving nature brings a true emotional response.
